Sidekick Neighbors LLC ("Sidekick", "we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of all users of our platform, including neighbors, teens, and parents. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information when you register or use the Sidekick Neighbors platform:

• Name, email address, and phone number — used for account creation and communication
• Home address — verified against the Highland Pointe HOA address list to confirm residency
• Age — for teens, to enforce our minimum age requirement of 14 and task restrictions
• Parent/guardian information — name and email, required for teen accounts
• Payment information — processed securely by Stripe; we do not store card numbers
• Job history, ratings, and reviews — to build trust and reputation on the platform
• In-app messages — stored to support job coordination and dispute resolution

2. How We Use Your Information

• To verify Highland Pointe residency and create your account
• To match neighbors with available teens for household tasks
• To process payments and payouts via Stripe
• To send transactional emails and SMS notifications (job updates, approvals, confirmations)
• To display ratings and reviews within the platform
• To respond to support requests and resolve disputes
• To improve and maintain the platform

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share limited data only with the following trusted service providers:

• Stripe — payment processing and payout management (Stripe Privacy Policy)
• Twilio — SMS notifications (Twilio Privacy Policy)
• Resend — transactional email delivery
• Cloudflare — hosting and database infrastructure

Full addresses are only shared between a neighbor and a matched teen after a job is confirmed. They are never publicly displayed.

4. Teen Privacy & COPPA

Sidekick Neighbors is designed for teens aged 14 and older. We require verified parental consent for all teen accounts. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under the age of 14.

Parents may review, update, or request deletion of their teen's account information at any time by contacting us at info@sidekickneighbors.com.

5. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), hashed password storage, and access controls. However, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal information within 48 hours, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as completed payment records).

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of non-essential communications

8. Changes to This Policy

10. SMS / Text Message Communications

By providing your phone number during registration, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages from Sidekick Neighbors (Twilio short code / long code: +1 (404) 800-6476). These messages include account notifications, parent approval requests, job confirmations, and payout setup links.

Message frequency: Varies based on account activity (up to 5 messages per job transaction).

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

Opt-out: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive one final confirmation and no further messages.

Re-subscribe: Reply START or YES to opt back in.

Mobile opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes at any time.
